The shopping area in Vilagarcía goes from the Pazo Vista Alegre to the roundabout of O Ramal, and comprises several pedestrian precincts. The shopping offer is extensive and varied. You can dress fashionably in Vilagarcía: there are boutiques, shops specialized in certain styles (surf, hippie, hip-hop and so on) and international and national chains stores. If you need to buy some food, there are also many different options: there are establishment of the main Spanish and European companies, grocer’s shops which give a personalized service and “delicatessen” shops.

The visitor has in Vilagarcía nearly all that he may need: chemist’s, ironmonger’s, stationer’s, toy shops, optician’s, herbalist’s, furniture shop, florist’s and so on. Many of this business belong to an association called Zona Aberta, which offers profitable buying conditions to the owners of its fidelity card.

The business hours are usually from 10 a.m. to 1.30 or 2.00 p.m. and from 4.30 or 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 or 8.30 p.m. On Saturdays, shops are open at the owner’s choice –only in the morning or in the morning and in the afternoon-, and they are closed on Sunday (except from Christmas time and sales).

Vilagarcía also has a shopping centre, sited by A Xunqueira park; it is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The facilities are suitable for disabled people. Besides a supermarket, it has bars and cafés as well as a wide presence of many different shopping sectors: fashion, household, gifts, personal care, leisure and free time articles, and so one. Customers have an underground car park in the own building at their disposal.
