Vilagarcía is, together with other councils, promoter of the construction of the first public golf course in Galicia. The facilities are placed in Monte Castrove, in the municipality of Meis, not far from the Armenteira monastery. Currently, it has eighteen holes, practice course and a golf school. It also have club, café and changing room, and you have the chance of renting sports equipment, if you do not have your own.
