Besides the fiestas of Vilagarcía, Carril and Vilaxoán, and the strictly gastronomic events, three more parties take place in the town. They have real popular basis, and therefore, a great public involvement. Two of them, “Entroido” and “Maios”, are part of the Galician traditions and have experienced, during the last years, a great revival. The third one, the “Twelve grapes on the 31st December”, has very little experience (it started in 1999) but in every occasion, the number of people that want to welcome the New Year have been increased, as well as the bottles of cava –Spanish sparkling wine- and the confetti. All in all, these are three more proposals for a thorough knowledge of Vilagarcía and its people.
