 trekking routes

The landscape and the environmental richness of Vilagarcía truly deserve an approach on foot. The town council has organized this tourist-sport-cultural activity through three routes that wander along the two hills that shield Vilagarcía: Lobeira and Xiabre. These two elevations, with 292 metres and 413 metres respectively, present a remarkable view of the Arousa bay and the mouth of the Ulla river.

The three routes, properly signposted, go trough the main trails of these mountains, from where you can get into contact with nature.

During the summer, Vilagarcía town council organizes hikes with a guide for people who want to go over any of these routes. The outing is held once a week, in the morning.

Visitor should contact the Tourism Office or the municipal Sports Department (Fundación de Deportes) to know the timetables and the starting point, as well as the specific route, because the offer is changed every week.
